Two numbers matter more than marketing language: the wavelengths a panel emits and the irradiance it delivers at a stated distance. A panel quoting irradiance at zero inches tells you almost nothing about a session at three feet.

Multi-wavelength panels combining red and near-infrared output cover more use cases than single-wavelength units, which is why they dominate serious home setups.

Size for the practice you intend. Targeted panels suit a desk or a bathroom counter. Full-body coverage requires either a large panel or two mid-size panels on a stand — often the better value.

Mounting is a design decision. Wall-mounted panels in a dressing room or spa niche stay in use; panels stored in a closet do not.

For commercial and amenity spaces, plan multiple panels per room with a clear circulation path and a timer control, so staff can turn a session over without supervision.
